Pick up at the airport. Depart towards Ouarzazate over the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the Kasbah of Telouet and the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou. Overnight in a hotel with pool in Ouarzazate.
Travel along the "Road of the Thousand Kasbahs," passing through the Valley of the Roses and the Dades Valley. Arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight in a Riad at the foot of the dunes.
After breakfast, depart for a 3-day immersion into the desert. You will travel approximately 20km per day into the "Black Desert" (a region of rocky plateaus and dark dunes). A support 4x4 will accompany the group. Overnights will be in desert camps or bivouacs (depending on the specific location each day).
Depart Merzouga early and return to Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Overnight in your Riad. Enjoy dinner at the lively Jemaa el-Fna square.
